Sunday afternoon/evening will open the
conference with some practical demonstrations of wireless technology. Alltel
Wireless will demonstrate their technology for tracking wireless phones .
Wireless network security (802.11*) technology will be demonstrated. Software
and hardware that is used for both auditing these networks and attacking these
networks will be shown in operation.
On Monday, Giga News, one of the largest
newsgroup providers, will be on hand to discuss newsgroups and legal process
involving postings. Alltel Wireless will discuss the current generation of
wireless communications and some future trends. Hot Pepper Technology, from here
in Florida, will show us their new tool for analysis of AOL accounts. Microsoft
will talk about Hotmail, IM,
and assistance to law enforcement. The day will
close out with a presentation from the National Center for Forensic Science (UCF)
on the resources available to the forensic community.
Tuesday will bring us training on the search
and seizure of computers, search warrants, computer hardware, and a legal
update. The day will conclude with a session on email tracing and the tools
available to perform it. The training will be provided by
SEARCH.
Wednesday will include practical exercises in
both email tracing and computer seizure. These will take place in the computer
labs at the school.
The FACCI room rate at the
Daytona Beach
Resort and Conference Center, located directly on beautiful Daytona Beach is $85.00 per night.
While they are available, the hotel will upgrade early registrations with
an oceanfront room at no additional charge.
Oceanfront condo's are available for $105.00 per night and
oceanfront efficiencies are available for $100.00. All FACCI block rooms will
include the use of an in-room safe at no additional charge. The telephone number is

rate. The hotel will honor the FACCI rate for three days before and after the
conference, so you can make it a family vacation.
Since this is a popular
hotel, it is strongly recommend that you go ahead and make reservations
immediately. If your plans change and you won't be able to attend, you can
cancel your reservations up to 48 hours in advance without penalty. If you have
any problems with making reservations, please let us know immediately.
